Background

A solvent is any substance, usually liquid, which is capable of dissolving one or several substances, thus creating a solution.

SOLVENTS

Background

Paint industries, use different types of solvents to manufacture their products.

SOLVENTS

Solvents are widely used in all oilfields and general industries.

SOLVENTS

What are.?

SOLVENTS

A solvent is a substance that dissolves a solute to form a solution. Solvents are used in a variety of applications, including paints, paint strippers, inks, and dry cleaning.
They may be primarily acidic, primarily basic, amphoteric (both) or aprotic (both).
Solvents can be broadly divided into two categories: polar solvents and nonpolar solvents.
Polar solvents promote the formation of ions, while nonpolar solvents do not promote the formation of ions. Water is a solvent for polar molecules and is the most common solvent used by living organisms. All of the ions and proteins in the cell are dissolved in the water inside the cell.

Dry cleaning uses organic solvents (such as tetrachlorethylene). As paint thinner (toluene, turpentine).
As nail polish remover and adhesive solvent (acetone, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate).
In stain remover (hexane, petroleum ether).
In detergent (citrus terpenes).
It is also included in perfume (ethanol).
Solvents are used in a wide variety of applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries, including chemical synthesis and cleaning processes.
